About the program

The E-Learning In-Service Master Program in Education and School Leadership (EESL) is a full English program at National Chung Cheng University (CCU), mainly contributed by the academic staff from the Graduate Institute of Education, the Department of Adult and Continuing Education and the Center for Teacher Education. Our faculty members are not merely experienced teachers but also experts in research and educational practices, particularly on the trends and issues in the fields of Education and School Leadership.

The educational goal is to enhance students’ scientific knowledge, ability, and sense about the educational policy and school leadership. Moreover, we are looking forward to expanding students' ability of comparative and international education, multicultural perceptivity, and cultivating comprehensive professional competency so as to facilitate students with lifelong learning literacy.

To promote high-quality pursuit of profound knowledge and to respond enthusiastically to the overwhelming global trends form the solid basis of this Program. With a Master degree in Education, our graduates are expected to expand more professional knowledge and skills and can be contributing to the educational system. This program offers students not only a holistic online educational experience of Taiwan but also a designed distance learning platform. In addition, this program is structured into compulsory and elective courses and offers students a total of two times, face-to-face opportunities within the two-year study period, including the orientation week in the first semester and thesis oral defense week in the fourth semester.

Entry requirements

1. Bachelor's degree either from a domestic university of independent college accredited by Ministry of Education, Taiwan; or from an overseas university or college recognized by Ministry of Education, Taiwan; or an undergraduate qualification accepted by Ministry of Education, Taiwan as equivalent.

2. All applicants whose first language, or national official language, is not English must provide recent evidence that their good command of the English language is adequate for the Program. The required evidence should be recently obtained acceptable English language qualification or test result among one of the following: TOEIC, TOEFL (PBT, CBT, iBT), IELTS, CEFR, Cambridge Main Suite, BULATS, or Taiwan GEPT.

3. Applicants must be in-service currently at least one year and the Employment Certificate should be provided as a required evidence.

4. Verified English proficiency certificate or test result

5. Two recommendation letters

6. Study plan

7. Verified financial statement issued by a financial institution such as a bank
